I offer a location photographic service for family historians. This could be the:
Places where your ancestors lived - houses, streets,
villages;
Churches and chapels where they worshipped, were baptised, married or
buried;
Graves, headstones and monumental inscriptions;
Schools, public houses or places where your ancestors worked.
If you require a grave or headstone photographed,
just let me know the address of the church or cemetry, together with the exact location of the grave,
and I will photograph it for you. If you do not know the exact
location or you just want me to visit and carry out a general search, I
can do that too. If after the time you have purchased it has not been found,
then I will provide some general photographs of the church/chapel
and graveyard. Please indicate the types of photographs you would like if
you have a preference.
You will need to provide the name and address or location of the church
or cemetery, name and date of death of the deceased, and preferably the location of the
grave or graves. Please bear in mind that very few 18th century graves
are still legible, and many 19th century ones are hard to decipher. If a
church graveyard is overgrown I may not be able to investigate the area
fully, in which case I will take photographs to prove this.
Likewise for location photography, if buildings are still in
existance and can be viewed from a public
road, then I can take photographs for you, together with images of the area.
I will provide approximately 10 high resolution photographs, stored as digital image files
(jpeg). These will be placed on a secure page on our website for you to access
and download, or stored on a CD and posted to you, if you prefer (at extra cost).
I offer this service for a trip of up to 30 miles from Gloucester. I charge £10 per hour, including travelling time, mileage will be charged at whatever
the current price of petrol is!
